Pat Read – General Manager – ISS Division (Canada)
Pat has 50 years combined military/industry experience in product support, leading Canadian Army and Multi-National Force maintenance workshops, Department of National Defence (DND) Equipment Program Management Directorates and various equipment acquisition projects. Developing supportability business process models for DND and the ISO 10303 AP239 Product Life Cycle Support standard, Pat remains active in international product support standards organizations.
After 30 years of service in maintenance and engineering positions as an officer within the Corps of Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RCEME), Pat retired from the Canadian Army in year 2000 in the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. He then joined Pennant Canada in 2001 as Manager of Consulting Services and was appointed General Manager in 2019. Pat has led consulting teams to develop product support policy and guidance for DND, as well as enabling effective product support within government and industry.
