Mark Willis – Chief Engineer and Head of Support Engineering

Mark Willis is a second degree qualified, Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and an active member of the ASD/AIA SX000i International Steering Group. Having completed a successful RAF Engineer career in 2003, Mark has since held a number of senior and Board level positions in Defence Consultancy.
A very experienced aero systems engineer, Mark has always striven to develop support strategies which keep the platform in the hands of the operator. To satisfy this desire from 1998 to 2001 Mark studied under Dr Jezdemir Knezevic at the MIRCE Centre, University of Exeter to gain a greater understanding of the drivers of systems operational performance. Today, Mark is the Chief Engineer and Head of Support Engineering at CDS Defence & Security based in Cheltenham, UK, leading a team of talented engineers delivering support engineering solutions across Air, Land and Maritime systems.
