The Pennant IPS software division assists companies with logistics support analysis, asset maintenance, product lifecycle and technical documentation software. We provide software and services for organizations that need to develop and manage engineering data and business critical documentation compatible with industry specifications and standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Pennant as a General Manager IPS Division (North America) who will be responsible for regional business activities, including customer contract delivery, personnel, and communications in alignment with the IPS division’s Integrated Business Plan (IBP). The job holder is also required to provide direct assistance to the Managing Director IPS in the running of the IPS Division as a whole.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Ensure management of the software and services contracts, industry partners and other contracts, to ensure profitable contract performance through appropriate utilization of employees and contractors

Support the MD IPS and Board of Directors with oversight of the company’s financial activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.

Manage regional business activities for North America in furtherance of the Integrated Business Plan (IBP) for IPS Division, including effective, profitable delivery of contracts/programs within region.

Identify opportunities for new business in region for targeting with Head of Sales – IPS & Group Marketing and MD – IPS.

Provide bid support for opportunities within the IPS Division, liaising with the Head of Sales – IPS & Group Marketing, or other bid leads as appropriate (including input into opportunity qualification, winning strategies, and solution delivery).

Provide written reports on business operations to MD – IPS (PAI and PCL/Group Directors as requested)


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the organization in maintaining relationships with clients, generating new business, increasing staff productivity, improving service, ensuring sustainability, and meeting business objectives.

As part of the IPS division, ensure that regional activities comply with Group policy and procedures where applicable, coordinating with Group functions such as Sales, Commercial, HR and Finance as necessary.

Any other duties as may reasonably be assigned by the MD – IPS or the Board of Directors of PAI and PCL.

RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Track record of delivering contracts/programs on time and to budget with requirements met or exceeded; previous P&L responsibility preferred.

Significant experience in a senior management position, including performance management and the development of effective teams.

Knowledge and experience in Integrated Logistics Support and Integrated Product Support, particularly related to software and hardware systems used in aerospace, defence and other regulated industry sectors, and government departments is desirable.

Demonstrated constructive and transparent approach to dealing with colleagues and counterparties.


OTHER

The role can be based in the US or Canada but may involve travel to Group offices in Canada, Australia, and the UK.
