Pennant IPS has signed an agreement with Boeing Defense Australia to supply them its R4i S1000D software for use on upcoming Defense contracts.

ADG’s R4i software was chosen to establish Boeing Australia’s S1000D capability. This will enable them to provide S1000D-compliant interactive technical manuals to meet upcoming Defence project requirements.

ADG’s CEO Tammy Halter said: “Large organizations and defense departments across the globe are choosing R4i because it’s more cost effective, quicker to implement and higher on features compared to other products available”. Customers also trust in ADG’s heritage of working with SGML, XML, Defence, Aerospace and Airline requirements for the last 15 years.

R4i transforms static electronic documentation into “smart” maintenance and operational applications.  The software has the capability to allow interactive maintenance manuals or training modules, video, audio and written content to be linked to stores systems for parts availability and information.

For Boeing’s upcoming Defence projects, it will enable defence personnel to easily maintain Boeing Australia supplied products. “Field personnel need easy access to an enormous amount of technical information and the R4i application allows them to access what they need on the run,” Tammy said.

Boeing Australia’s Product Support Systems Integration Manager, Steven Grant, said: “Boeing Australia have a long standing relationship with ADG and have selected R4i as a cost effective solution that provides the features we require to meet our customer’s expectations. This has also been a great opportunity for Boeing Australia to continue its support of local SMEs who produce world-class products and services.”
